In 2009, 8 water wells were drilled by Watermark and ALARM, our ministry partner in Uganda. 21 new wells are under development today - 6 in Uganda and 15 in Burundi today.
The wells we've drilled to-date have changed lives:
- Children who once spent hours every morning fetching water are now going to school.
- Families who once lived in IDP ("internally displaced people") camps are now settling near the Watermark wells.
- Watermark continues to partner with ALARM, a trusted ministry in Africa, to share the gospel and raise up godly leaders in communities where the wells are drilled.

Northern Uganda is coming out of 20 years of war. It has been incredible to see first-hand the impact that clean water has on communities as people leave refugee camps to 'live off the land' once again in the midst of fresh peace.
